Clara Hillyer, the heart behind Simply Sweet Event Planning, grew up in Sacramento, CA, but moved all over the U.S. with her family. With a deep love for working with kids, she spent seven years coaching competitive gymnastics, guiding young athletes with passion and dedication. Coaching was more than a job—it was a way for her to connect, encourage, and inspire.

In May 2024, Clara made the decision to leave her coaching career. With big plans for her next steps, she reflected on her lifelong dream of owning a wedding venue—a goal she had envisioned since 7th grade. With countless business ideas running through her mind, she decided to take a leap of faith and test the waters. She posted on social media, offering five free party planning services, hoping to gain experience and see if this was the right path.

The response was incredible—she secured all five free service parties, and from there, Simply Sweet Event Planning began to flourish. By September 2024, her business was officially launched, built on hard work, creativity, and a passion for bringing people together.

Today, Clara continues to grow and refine Simply Sweet, ensuring every event is filled with thoughtful details, seamless execution, and unforgettable memories. With a heart for families and celebrations, she is excited to see where this journey takes her next!
